Where are you located and do you work in the USA and Canada?
We are based in the Pacific Northwest, in the amazing city of Portland, Oregon. We operate throughout the United States as well as internationally.
Do you travel outside of Portland, Oregon with your gear?
Yes! We frequently travel with our cameras, drones and other equipment. Commercial work has taken us along the West Coast, through the Southern United States, to Hawaii, Alaska, Toronto and Indonesia, to name just a few.
How much notice do I need to give you when booking an aerial photo or video shoot?
The amount of notice needed will depend on a variety of factors such as the shoot location, type of project, and time of year. As a general rule:
Spring-Fall: 3-4 weeks
Winter: Less than a week
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry full liability insurance for all productions.
Are you FAA Compliant?
Yes. We hold the FAA part 107 certification to operate UAVs commercially.
What cameras do you provide?
We can mount and fly most production cameras. We have packages for the RED Epic Dragon, Nikon D5 and D850, Panasonic GH5 and Sony A7 Series line. If the camera you are using is not listed here, please send us an email at jonny@flyviewaerial.com and we will do our best to accommodate your production's specific needs.
What is the cost of your aerial photo and aerial video services/helicopter rental?
Most jobs are between $2,500 and $8,000 per day, based on the complexity of the shoot and the equipment used. If you are seeking a few aerial photos, our prices can be as low as $500.
How long can your helicopters stay in the air?
On average flight times range from 8-30 minutes, depending on the weight of the camera.
Can you provide stock aerial footage along the West Coast?
